About Me
My name is Lisa Dangoor, I am a self-taught baker and I set up Cake It With Lisa about six years ago alongside my studies at school. I now run my cake business while obtaining my degree in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh.
My Baking Adventure
I always enjoyed baking as a child but I truly became inspired in my early teen years. I set up Cake It With Lisa when I was 14 years old and have since grown as a small business owner and as a baker. In 2021, interned as a pastry chef at Maison Philippe Conticini where I gained experience and knowledge about patisserie. This, compounded with my self-taught experience, has made me a much more confident and creative baker. Baking is my passion and my favourite part of the process is decorating the cakes and treats that I make as I love the creative aspect!
Charity
I have been working with a charity called Bake 4 ME/CFS for the past couple of years. I bake cakes based on a brief that they give me which are then entered into competitions on behalf of those who cannot bake due to their chronic illnesses. Thus far, it has been an incredibly gratifying experience as I have been able to make these people's dream a reality.
